The Fat Kid reporting. . .
Upper Arlington – One of our frequent comment posters here at BZ lists her URL as blip.fm/anothercraze. Out of curiosity, I went to find out what the hell blip.fm was, and it turns out that it’s this radio site where you essentially set up a play list of your favorite songs so that other people can hear them. Sort of. It’s more like Twitter, only what you say is about what you’re listening to, and the people who follow your feed can listen to those songs, too, with no downloading or other cumbersome internet irritants.
So, now there is one of these weird Twitterish radio feeds that belongs to us. And, you know, you can listen, too, if you like. Of course, we know that it’s always annoying when other people make you listen to what they listen to because you want to listen to what you listen to, and we know you probably won’t like our stuff, anyway. You probably like pretentious pansies on Sub Pop who whine like little girls (for the record, I love The Shins, who are exactly pretentious, whiny pansies), whereas we only listen to real music here. No wuss bands (except, as discussed, The Shins) who think they’re proving a point by covering a Joni Mitchell song (at least The Shins don't do that), or who sound like they’re going to cry in a minute. Nah, dude. We’re not having that.
So, what did we choose for our inaugural song? Donovan’s “Atlantis.” Yeah, I know, Donovan’s totally a pretentious wuss, and this song seems like a wuss song, but there are two things you should bear in mind: First, it does match our theme of ancient underwater lost civilizations, which is the main reason we chose that song. Second, it was made significantly less wuss-like when it became the soundtrack for Billy Batts’ epic super beatdown in Martin Scorsese’s bombest flick ever, Goodfellas.
As a matter of fact, let’s watch that epic super beatdown right now:
Wow. We totally roll like that at BlueZer0, too. So, you know, watch what you say. No more shines, Billy.
But anyway, go to blip.fm/BlueZer0net to hear whatever the hell we feel like making you listen to. Or at least to see what it is that we listen to, and then leave the site without listening because it doesn’t seem like anything you’d really want to hear.
(By the way, if you’ve never seen Goodfellas, you’re stupid.)

The tragic thing about Donovan is that he was always only a few tokes away from being better than Bob Dylan.
No, wait. That's not right.
Except in this song:

If the rest of you guys don't sign up, I won't judge you. But the future will.

Don't be dissin' Donovan. He gave us "Hurdy Gurdy Man" and sings on "Billion Dollar Babies."

I dunno, I mean, really, Donovan? What in the name of Tan is going on over there in the Fat Cave? You know, the whole world has internet access to this post (except China, Iran and the Buckalew Estate) and they're now going to think we're wussified Donovan fans?
