Update from Ohio

The Shadow reporting. . .

COLUMBUS -- We left Newark promptly at 6AM, and arrived here in Columbus at 3PM, only an hour behind schedule.

The drive was grueling, with the majority of road time consisting of following route 70 west, but it did give us an opportunity to see the scenic countryside, which is as rich and varied as a Bosch triptych. For example, here is a typical scene of 70 around Hagerstown, Maryland.

And here is a typical scene of 70 taken around Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

And let’s not forget the distinctive look of Wheeling, West Virginia.

So, as you can see, we had plenty to look at on the way, but when we reached our destination, it got even better. For instance, here is the famous Orton Hall at the [Censored] State University, in beautiful downtown Columbus.

Once we arranged the beds in the back of the Shadowtastic WinneRio, we ventured out to a gentlemen’s club, the Triad Lounge, to scour a map of the area, and make plans to find apartments.

After many hours, and much close inspection of the bottoms of glasses, we found this beautiful place, the place of our dreams, really, where we’ll be staying for at least a year.

The exclusive Self Storage community of Columbus, Ohio. They feature ventilation, Master™ brand padlocks, concrete floors with drainage, and low monthly rates.

We found the monthly rate, clipped a hole in the fence for late-night entry and exit, and only then did we feel prepared. Tomorrow we'll begin the trek home, both sad that we’re leaving and satisfied that we accomplished an almost impossible task -- finding a livable place you can afford on a whore’s and a 7-11 clerk’s salaries.

I thought I was your illegal alien indentured servant... now I'm supposed to whore for your ass AND clean up after it?

The Shadow:

Que? No habla. . .

Trooper Dan "Taser Happy" Johnson:

Glad to hear you'll be passing through again. I-70 is such a beautiful drive this time of year. And, I'm sure you'll obey the speed limit, I mean, why look for trouble, right?

Wifely:

No habla my ass! My pimp is going to be PISSED if I have share proceeds!

Now, have you found the local trucks stops in Columbus? I DO need to get my resume together.
